4. Payment

4.1 Card Payment

We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. Your card will be charged immediately upon booking.

5. Changing or Cancelling Your Booking

  • If you have chosen rebooking protection, you may rebook your experience up to 24 hours before arrival.

  • Paid bookings are, as a general rule, non-refundable.

  • A full refund will be given if weather conditions render the activity unsuitable or unsafe to carry out, such as strong wind, storms, or similar conditions deemed unsafe by Arctic Wonders AS.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Under Norwegian consumer law (angrerettloven), consumers generally have the right to withdraw from an agreement entered into through distance selling (e.g. an online purchase) within 14 days. However, this right does not apply to services relating to leisure activities that are to be performed on a specific date or within a specific period, pursuant to Section 22(n) of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act. Northern lights tours and other experiences booked with Arctic Wonders AS are therefore exempt from the right of withdrawal. Section 5 above instead governs your rights regarding cancellation and changes.

7. Damage and Complaints

When the activity begins, it is your responsibility to check that any equipment provided is not damaged or faulty. If the equipment is defective or damaged, you are entitled to replacement equipment where available, or an alternative arrangement agreed with the guide or person in charge on site.

8. Processing of Personal Data

In order to receive, process and deliver your booking, Arctic Wonders AS will process your personal data. All processing is carried out in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By accepting these terms, you consent to us registering and processing your data for this purpose. You have the right to request that your data be deleted, unless we are subject to a legal obligation to retain it. See Appendix 1 for further information on our processing of personal data.

You further consent to us sending you emails with order confirmations and relevant follow-up emails related to your booking.

9. Cookies

A cookie is a text file stored on your device when you visit our website, either temporarily (session cookies) or over time. We use cookies, among other things, to remember login information and your shopping cart, as well as for the cookie preferences you set via the cookie settings on our website. If your browser is set to refuse cookies, you may not be able to complete a booking. You can change these settings in your browser or via our cookie settings. We do not use cookies to store personal information about you.

10. Force Majeure

Arctic Wonders AS is released from liability for failure to fulfil the agreement where this is due to circumstances beyond our control, such as war, strike, blockade, fire, natural disaster, serious outbreak of disease, or other extraordinary circumstances preventing us from meeting our obligations. The other party shall be notified immediately of any circumstances that may trigger this provision.

11. Dispute Resolution

Norwegian law applies to all purchases under these terms. Any disputes shall first be sought resolved amicably between the parties. If this does not succeed, the consumer may bring the matter before the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) for mediation, and subsequently the Consumer Disputes Board (Forbrukerklageutvalget). Disputes may also be brought before the ordinary Norwegian courts, with Arctic Wonders AS's place of business as the legal venue.
